U.S. bicycle imports rise 52% in the first quarter of 2022

The U.S. imported 4.7 million sets of bicycles in the first quarter of 2022 at a port price of $565 million, according to Washington. In dollar terms, this is up 52% from the end of the first quarter of last year and 143% from the same quarter in 2020, when the pandemic supply chain first slowed.
Import data began to increase significantly in the second half of 2021, with the largest data volume in the third quarter, reaching US$571 million, a trend that clearly continued in the first quarter of this year.
